Is it necessary to send my products?
I understood the Differentiate well between an offer and a product, but how to know if it is necessary to send my products?
- Either you have the certainty that your products do not exist on CDiscount, i.e. they are not known through their EAN code. In this case, you will need to create your products in order to be able to publish offers on them. In this case, follow the tutorial Export : Products creation.
- You resell known manufactured products whose EAN code is known in CDiscount. So you are sure that your products exist on CDiscount. In this case, follow the Publish offer tutorial.
- If you have any doubt and you sell products that could already exist on CDiscount (marketed by one or more suppliers), then your products may already exist on CDiscount. In this case, you can send your offers without waiting for product creation. In this case, follow the Publish offer tutorial.
Offer update vs product creation workflow
Then proceed as follows depending on your situation:
1. Update existing Cdiscount products (recommended when EAN already exists)
Go to:
Catalog > Cdiscount Marketplace > Update mode
- Select Full package offer type (this is used to add your offer to existing Cdiscount products using the EAN barcode)
- Click Update offers
- Then review the report below by clicking on the ID number
- You will need the ID and screenshot/text of the errors for any support request
2. Create products that do not yet exist on Cdiscount
Go to:
Catalog > Cdiscount Marketplace > Creation mode
- Export the file
- Send it to Cdiscount
- Click the report link that appears in the green notification (package ID number) to open the report in your browser
- You will need the package ID and report URL for support requests
