A model will help you enhance the feed you send to Amazon by enriching it with more data for a group of products. In order to target specific products, you will use a "Matching Group".

A matching group will represent a set of products meeting certain criteria you define. The criteria will be based on the conditions you create and search keywords.

For example you can create a matching group for all Reebok shoes. To do this you will select only products in the Shoes collection, add Reebok as a keyword and name your group Reebok to easily identify it.

When the product have parent/child relations (products with options), the fields appear. It allows classifying the products well, to separate products having options from products don't have options. This classification is important, it prevents to create products on Amazon without parentage logic.

In order to enhance your Amazon data for defined products, you will use a model that will help you enrich your feed. Before creating a model, you should have already created the matching group that defines your set of products.

To create a model, you will first choose which products you want to target.

Click on the button for Select a product type (1).

Choose the Matching Group and the Product Type on the same page (2).

In case you’re exporting variations, select the variation theme. Based on the theme selected, related attributes will be listed and you will have to specify the values for each.

You will select the Option field from your product variant and optionally you can add a default value for a second attribute. If the option if empty, the default value will be sent.

|| Important: Please never indicate only default values, otherwise, it won't work!

You will then specify the attributes you’ll use to enrich your feed, you can add any number you want from the list by clicking on the Add button.

Here, you will configure the app behavior in managing syncs, imports and exports between your store and Amazon.

Platforms

You select here the platforms for international sync, the app displays all available platforms for the region. As an example, for USA, the app could list Mexico and Canada depending on their availability in your Amazon account.

Once enabled, the app will automatically use those platforms.

Inventory

Here, you will manage your inventory across your store and Amazon, you will decide whether to sync from your store to Amazon. You can also choose not to sync the inventory at all if you manage it manually or with other solutions.

When syncing your inventory to Amazon, you can set preferences to select what to update on Amazon (Quantities, Prices). If your products already exist in Amazon referenced by their UPC/EAN code, offers can automatically be created in Amazon in matching mode.

Orders

Indicate there if the app should import your Amazon orders into your store.

Convert currencies allows you to convert prices into your store currency.

If you decide to import FBA orders, then you will consider Amazon stocks as being part of your inventory, otherwise it will be managed independently.

If your Amazon and Shopify products cannot share identical SKUs, follow these steps to sync using product variant metafields:

1. Create a Product Variant Metafield in Shopify to Store Amazon SKUs:

In your Shopify admin, navigate to Settings > Custom Data > Variant > Add definition.
Name: Enter a descriptive name for your metafield (e.g., "Amazon SKU").
Namespace and key: The Namespace and key will be generated for you. Take note of this to use this to create the inventory rule.
Type: Select "Single line text" from the dropdown.
Save: Click "Save" to create the metafield definition.

2. Populate the Variant Metafield with Amazon SKUs:

Go to the product page in Shopify.
Edit the variants in your Shopify store to include the Amazon SKU on the Metafield.

3. Import Metafields from Shopify to the App:

Within the app, go to Workflow > Metafield.
Select the created Metafields or select all metafields.
Go to Actions > Operations > Full Metafields import from Shopify > Execute.
Wait for the import process to complete. This may take some time depending on the number of metafields. Proceed once the timer ends.

|| Important: for all points mentioned below, you must ensure first that your catalog fits the marketplace's standards, it means, all your products and variant must have unique SKU for every item, and, a barcode can be used only once. 1 SKU > 1 barcode.

I already have an inventory on Amazon

By default, the App syncs automatically products and variants having matching SKUs on both sides. It means if your SKU on Shopify is ABCD1234 and the same is present on Amazon, you have nothing to do, your inventories and prices will be synced automatically.
