Categories - Spartoo (Shopify)
Spartoo > Categories
A product is sent to Spartoo only when a category rule places it in a Spartoo category. Without a matching rule, it is not exported.

Add a rule
Click Add rule.
Rule name is for you. It is not sent to Spartoo.
Match is all conditions or any condition. all conditions needs every line to match. any condition needs one.
Conditions are one or more lines. Each line has a field, an operator, and a value.
Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
Category | Shop collection. All collections matches every collection. |
Product type | Shop product type |
Tag | Shop tag |
Brand | Shop vendor |
Operators are is and contains. A rule with no condition is refused.
Sent to Spartoo
This block is what Spartoo receives. The fields change with the category you pick. Choose Spartoo category first.
Field | What it sets |
|---|---|
Spartoo category | Where the product is listed |
Product type | Filled from the category |
Gender | Required by Spartoo |
Composition, Lining composition, and related fields | When the category accepts them |
Color / Size | Fallbacks only when the variants have no colour or size. If a variant has one, the mapping in Colors & Sizes is used instead. |
Selections | Optional Spartoo selections |
Extra information | Extra fields the category asks for, when any |
A rule missing Spartoo category, Product type, or Gender is incomplete. The export skips it.
Simulation lists products the rule will apply to, before you save.
On this screen you may also see Spartoo values in tabs when you sell in more than one language. Switching a tab only changes the labels.
Order of the rules
Rules are read in the order they were created. The first complete rule that matches is the only one used. A product is not listed twice.
Put narrow rules before broad ones. If Product type is Shoes is above Product type contains Shoe, the second rule never sees a plain “Shoes” product.
A product that matches nothing
It is not exported. Reports shows that for the run. On Products, Synchro is No until a rule places it. If an expected product never reaches Spartoo, check first that a rule covers it.
If you have no category rule at all, Products shows: Your products cannot be exported to Spartoo yet: a product is only sent once a category rule places it in a Spartoo category, and you have no category rule. The link is Create a category rule.
