General Settings - Spartoo (Shopify)

Spartoo > Settings > General Settings

This screen sets what goes to Spartoo, and how orders come back. It has five sections: Products, Colors, Currency, Discounts, and Orders.

Products

Products to export

• All active products — sends the full catalogue on each run.
• Only recently updated — sends only products that changed in the lookback window. Use this on a large catalogue.

Days to look back — how many days back to check for changes. Used only with Only recently updated.

Export only products in stock — skips out-of-stock variants instead of sending them with a quantity of zero.

Overwrite descriptions already on Spartoo — replaces descriptions already on Spartoo. Leave it off if you edit descriptions in the Spartoo back office.

Overwrite products already on Spartoo — overwrites products already on Spartoo instead of adding only new ones.

Both overwrite options are off by default.

Use my translations in the feed — sends the titles and descriptions from Products > Translations. When this is off, every country gets the shop’s default text.

Send EAN codes — sends each variant’s barcode to Spartoo as its EAN. Turn it off if Spartoo refuses your barcodes (for example: the EAN is too short or ends with 000). The products are then sent without an EAN.

Colors

Metafield holding the color — where the product colour is read from.

• Choose Read colors from the variant options if the colour is a variant option, such as Color / Red.
• If the colour is in a metafield, pick that metafield here.

The list comes from the shop app. Changing this starts a full catalogue resync on the next run, so the new colours apply to products already synced. That also changes what appears under Colors & Sizes. Map again after that.

Currency

Shop currency — the currency of the shop prices. Feed prices are converted from this currency. Incoming orders use the same setting. A wrong choice sends wrong prices to Spartoo.

Discounts

Apply discounts — sends a reduced price to Spartoo next to the normal price.

Discount source

• Shop discount — uses the discount rules set in Feed.biz under Pricing > Discounts.
• Compare-at price — uses the shop’s compare-at price as the original price, and the current price as the reduced price.

Pick the one that matches how you price the shop. The two are not the same.

Orders

Days of orders to fetch — how many days of order history to ask Spartoo for on each sync. Orders already imported are skipped.

Use the Spartoo order number in your shop — uses the Spartoo order number as the order name in the shop, so both sides share the same reference.

Import an order only when every SKU exists — refuses an order if any SKU is missing from the catalogue. That avoids orders with lines that cannot be fulfilled.

Accept pending orders automatically — some Spartoo orders wait for you to accept them before Spartoo hands them over. When this is on, Feed.biz accepts such an order only when your shop sells every product in it, active and with enough stock. Any other order is left pending for you to decide on Spartoo; the reason is in the order report. This runs before each scheduled order import.

Stock when an order is created

• Leave the shop stock untouched — Spartoo has already recorded the sale. The shop stock is not changed.
• Let the shop take the stock — the shop decrements stock when the order is imported.
