Incorrect EAN code for products

When exporting products, you may see:

EAN is incorrect, Product ID: [2/7, 2/8, 2/9, 2/10, 2/11, …]

(Export summary may also show Incorrect EAN.)

The list uses product / combination IDs in the form 1/2 (1 = product id, 2 = combination id).

Each listed product has an EAN with an invalid check digit, or that does not follow GS1 rules (often generated / bought outside GS1).

Marketplaces require valid EAN/GTIN codes (ideally issued by GS1). Codes from other modules, free lists, or resellers usually fail.
