Configuring a Profile
Profiles are used for product creation.
They allow you to assign common characteristics to products so they match Amazon’s expected structure.
A single profile can apply to multiple categories in PrestaShop.
However, a category can only be linked to one profile. The information set in the profile will be applied to all linked products.
Profile Name
Choose a clear and descriptive name related to the type of products exported (e.g. Skirts – Women).
Product Type
The Product Type defines the required and optional fields expected by Amazon.
Select it from the list or search for it.
Example: for a T-shirt profile, choose SHIRT.
Product Type Fields
After selecting a product type, a list of fields will appear:
Variant
A variant in Amazon corresponds to a PrestaShop combination (e.g. size, color).
Select the relevant attributes in the Variant section.
Example for size/color:
Required Field Mappings
Fill the required fields using:
- A corresponding PrestaShop field
- An Amazon fixed value (Allowed Value)
- A default fixed value (Default Value)
Two common cases:
- All products share the same value (e.g. Department = Women) → use a fixed value.
- The value varies by product → use a matching PrestaShop field (attribute or feature).
Example: if not all products share the same brand, select the corresponding PrestaShop field, usually the manufacturer field.
Adding Optional Fields
You can add extra fields to enrich your feed (e.g. product weight):
- Click Load
- Search for the field
- Click the green + icon to add it
Key Features Strategy
Displays bullet points (max. 500 characters each) in Amazon listings.
Recommended:
- 1st line → Short Description
- Following lines → PrestaShop Features (enable “With Labels”)
- Example with label:
Material: Cotton
- Example without label:
Cotton
Recommended setup:
Recommended Browse Node
Mandatory for Canada, Europe, and Japan.
Get Browse Node IDs by downloading your Amazon product type template:
- Enter up to 2 IDs, separated by commas
- Validate by typing a comma — valid IDs will turn blue
Default Pricing Rule
Sets a pricing rule specific to this profile, overriding the global rule in the Marketplace tab.
Latency (Processing Time)
Number of days before shipping (e.g. warehouse preparation).
Can be overridden by the value in the product sheet extension.
Default Shipping Template
Select a shipping template from Seller Central.
- Applies to all profile products
- If a template is set in the product sheet, it takes priority
- Otherwise, Seller Central’s default applies
