Configure a GCID code exemption

You sell products without EAN codes, and Amazon has granted your brand a GCID exemption.

Step 1 – Activate Expert Mode


Enable Expert Mode by following this guide:

Then go to the Features tab and enable the Code Exemption option:

Step 2 – Verify Amazon Information


In your Amazon Seller Central account, go to:

Catalog > View Selling Applications to check your GTIN exemption request.


2.1 Check the Brand


Ensure that the brand in your product pages (field Manufacturer or Brand) exactly matches the one approved by Amazon.


⚠️ This field is case-sensitive (uppercase/lowercase) and spacing must be identical.


Step 3 – Configure Your Profiles


In the profiles for exempted products:


  • Select the brand linked to the exemption
  • Set Code Exemption = Yes
