Why am I getting “A server-side error has occurred” during order import?

You may sometimes see the following error message when trying to perform a manual or scheduled order import:

“A server-side error has occurred.”

This message indicates that the order synchronization process has been interrupted.

What does this mean?

This error occurs when the server encounters an internal issue while trying to process the incoming order data. In most cases, it is due to an outdated code structure failing to process newer API response formats from the marketplace.

Is this a known issue?

This error is common in older versions of the module, specifically versions released before 5.4.11.

Impact on the module

When this error occurs:

  • manual order imports will fail to complete
  • scheduled cron jobs for order synchronization will be blocked
  • new orders will not appear in your PrestaShop back-office

How to resolve the issue?

To resolve this issue, the module must be updated to its latest version, which contains the necessary compatibility fixes.

Please follow these steps:

  • Contact our technical support team
  • Explain the issue you are experiencing
  • Request the latest version of the module to update your system
