Using inactive languages

In some cases, you may want to connect an Amazon marketplace in a language that is not active on your store. This can be an issue, as PrestaShop only allows active languages by default.

The Amazon Marketplace module allows you to use inactive languages without displaying them on the front office.

Steps to follow

1. Activate Expert Mode

Before proceeding, activate Expert Mode in the module:

2. Access the advanced settings

Go to:

Modules > Amazon > Configure > Settings > Advanced Settings

Click on: Advanced Settings

3. Enable the “Display inactive languages” option

In Advanced Settings, check the following option:

  • âś… Display inactive languages
  • Don’t forget to save your settings

This allows the module to display all languages installed in your PrestaShop, even if they are disabled for the front office.

Check the option: Display inactive languages

Example

You want to sell on Amazon Spain, but you don’t want to show Spanish on your store.

  1. Enable “Display inactive languages” in the module settings.
  2. Install the Spanish language in PrestaShop via: International > Localization > Import localization pack.
  3. A new “Amazon ES” tab will appear in the module to let you configure the platform.
  4. Disable the Spanish language in your front office via: International > Languages.
