Skipping Product SKU: No need matching the parent product

This article explains why this message appears when sending an offer synchronisation feed in Matching mode, and what it means for your Amazon listings.

What does this message mean?

When the module displays the message:

“Skipping Product SKU: – No need matching the parent product”

it means that the product being skipped is a parent product (parent SKU).

On Amazon, only child products (variations) can be matched and listed with offers.

Parent products are not sellable items and therefore do not require matching.

As a result, the module automatically skips parent products during the Matching process.

Is this an error?

No, this is not an error.

This is an informational message indicating that the module is behaving correctly.

The product is skipped intentionally because:

  • It is a parent product
  • Parent products cannot be matched or sold
  • Only child SKUs are relevant for offer synchronisation

What should I do?

Nothing is required if:

  • Your child products (variations) are correctly matched
  • Offers are created or updated successfully for child SKUs

You can safely ignore this message.
