How to Sync Print-on-Demand (POD) Products on Amazon

Introduction:

This guide outlines the different methods for listing and synchronizing your Print-on-Demand (POD) products from Shopify onto Amazon. You can either leverage existing Amazon listings or create new listings under your own brand.

Methods for Listing POD Products on Amazon:

You have two primary options for listing your POD products on Amazon:

1. Syncing with Existing Amazon Listings (Using Actions > Lookup):

This method is suitable when a similar product already exists on Amazon. You can follow the steps outlined on this documentation: How to Sync dropshipping products to Amazon

2. Listing Under Your Own Brand (Creating New Amazon Listings):

This method allows you to establish your own brand presence on Amazon, but requires additional steps.

Considerations and Requirements:

Barcode Exemption: POD products typically do not have barcodes (UPC/EAN). You must obtain a barcode exemption from Amazon before creating new listings. This is done directly within your Amazon Seller Central account.
Process: Create one product listing directly on Amazon Seller Central. During the listing process, you'll be prompted to request a barcode exemption. Follow Amazon's instructions.
Brand Registry: You must register your brand name with Amazon Brand Registry to protect your brand and access enhanced listing features.
Matching Groups and Models in the App: You need to configure matching groups and models within the app. This will help facilitate the creation of new listings on Amazon.
Note: Even with matching groups and models configured, all new Amazon listings are still subject to Amazon's review and approval process.
