# Skipped Product: The reference is incorrect - Amazon Marketplace Plus

The export log displays the following message:

||| Skipped Product: 1/0 The reference "XXX-YYY" is incorrect

## Cause

The product reference contains one or more characters that are not accepted by Amazon.

### Amazon reference requirements:

* Only displayable ASCII characters
* Maximum length: 40 characters
* **No spaces at the beginning or end of the string**

This issue is most often caused by an extra space at the beginning or end of the reference.
