# Colours & Sizes mapping - Spartoo (Shopify)

**Spartoo > Colors & Sizes**

Spartoo only accepts its own colour and size codes. Match each shop value to a Spartoo value on this screen.

## What you see

The values come from the catalogue. Until the first read has run, the screen shows: **No product yet. They arrive from your shop connector.**

Each row has three columns:

| Column | Meaning |
| ---- | ---- |
| **Shop value** | The value as it appears in the shop |
| **Type** | **Colors** or **Sizes** |
| **Spartoo Value** | The Spartoo value it maps to |

A row with nothing chosen shows **Not mapped**. The counter at the top shows how many **unmapped values** are left.

When you sell in more than one language, the tabs **Spartoo values in** change only the labels in the lists. Categories and colours are stored as codes. A size keeps the exact name you picked.

## Auto Match by Name

**Auto Match by Name** fills rows whose shop name matches a Spartoo name exactly. Existing mappings are left unchanged.

It then shows how many **values matched by name.** If none match, it shows: **No matching values were found. Check that the Type column is set correctly to Colors or Sizes before auto-matching. Names are matched against the Spartoo values of the language open above: switch to another of your countries to match against its names. Once mapped, a value automatically applies across all configured countries.**

Check what it filled in before you leave the page. A matching name is not always the right value.

## Where the colours come from

If **Type** is wrong for your colours, or colours are missing, check **Settings > General Settings > Metafield holding the color**. That setting chooses the variant options or a metafield. Changing it changes this screen. Map again after that.

## A value left unmapped

Spartoo only accepts its own codes.

* An unmapped colour: the variant is sent without a Spartoo colour.
* An unmapped size: the size is left out of the size list.

A mapped size that is empty is also left out, and that variant is skipped.

Spartoo can still refuse a size that appears in the list. That depends on the country and the product category. For example, the UK site only takes whole UK sizes for shoes. [Reports](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/reports-spartoo-shopify-g8hghx/) then shows the refused size. Map it to a size Spartoo accepts for those products.
