They allow you to assign common characteristics to products so they match Amazon’s expected structure. A single profile can apply to multiple [categories](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/categories-tab-amazon-marketplace-plus-1u6e0ok/) in PrestaShop. However, **a category can only be linked to one profile**. The information set in the profile will be applied to all linked products. || Before creating profiles, please first update the table of valid Amazon values in the [Tools](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/tools-tab-amazon-marketplace-plus-1522fro/) tab. --- ## Profile Name Choose a clear and descriptive name related to the type of products exported (e.g. *Skirts – Women*). --- ## Product Type The **Product Type** defines the required and optional fields expected by Amazon. Select it from the list or search for it. Amazon determines required fields dynamically, so not all required fields are shown here. ➡️ The missing fields will appear in the Amazon report after your first submission, and you’ll need to add them to the profile. --- ### Variant A **variant** in Amazon corresponds to a PrestaShop combination (e.g. size, color). Select the relevant attributes in the *Variant* section. All products share the same value (e.g. Department = Women) → use a fixed value 2. The value varies by product → use a matching PrestaShop field (attribute or feature) Example: if not all products share the same brand, select the corresponding PrestaShop field, usually the **manufacturer** ||| ⚠️ Note: Even if all visible required fields are filled, Amazon still requests additional fields after the first submission. ➡️ Always check the report and complete the profile step by step. | If you set a [Key Features Strategy](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/profile-configuration-amazon-marketplace-plus-sa58xn/#2-key-features-strategy) (see below), you do not need to fill the “Key Product Features” required fields. 👉 [Mapping documentation](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/mappings-tab-amazon-marketplace-plus-1v9kcuf/) --- ### Adding Optional Fields After sending products in [creation mode](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/creating-new-products-amazon-marketplace-plus-5evxbs/), please verify the [report](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/generating-the-report-amazon-marketplace-plus-ql3ave/) and the missing fields using this tool: 1. Click **Load** 2. Search for the field 3.
