# Preamble

## Compatibility

The Mirakl module is compatible with PrestaShop 1.7, 8, and 9.

|| Note: Older PrestaShop versions 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 are no longer supported.

On the PHP side, the module requires PHP 7.1 or higher (PHP 8.x supported; PHP 9 not supported). PHP 7.4 or higher is recommended.

## Preconfiguration

By default, the configuration suits most stores. Only change advanced settings if you need to and if you understand the consequences.

## Features

Once configuration is complete, the module’s active features are available:

* Under **Catalog > Mirakl**
* Under **Orders > Mirakl** for order import
* On your product pages, a **Mirakl** sub-tab appears: it contains product-specific options (they are optional)

## Required knowledge

The module does not require special technical skills, but a good understanding of how the Mirakl marketplace works remains necessary.

Read [Validate your catalog structure](https://doc.common-services.com/fr/article/valider-votre-structure-de-catalogue-1h7q6wp/) first: that page summarizes the essential rules for your product sheets (reference / SKU, EAN, etc.).

## Specific terminology

### Profiles

In the module, the **Profiles** tab means **export profiles**.

A profile holds data needed for export: it lets you add information that is missing from PrestaShop but required to send offers to Mirakl.

See: [Profiles](https://doc.common-services.com/fr/article/profils-2qxnah/).

## EAN codes

The module works in matching and creation mode: it sends your products’ EAN codes. If the product already exists on the marketplace, the offer can be created automatically.

Using private or local codes (e.g. `0000000001231`, `2000000001231`, `3000000001231`) or codes not issued by GS1 is forbidden.

If you do not have EAN codes, the marketplace can sometimes exempt you: contact your Mirakl seller support.

If you do not have an EAN code, we recommend reading [our article on EAN codes](https://common-services.com/barcodes-ean-upc-gtin-for-ecommerce-solutions-and-marketplaces/).

The module can also handle EAN exemptions: contact your Mirakl account manager to obtain an exemption.
