# PHP configuration limitations

If you hit technical issues with the module, you are often redirected here.

The module **Information** tab includes **PHP Info**:

Click **PHP Info**.

Look for these common limits required for the module to work properly:

- `memory_limit`
- `max_input_vars`
- `max_execution_time`

**`memory_limit`:** at least **256M** (more if you have a large catalog, e.g. > 10,000 products).

**`max_input_vars`:** at least **10000** (more if you have many categories, e.g. > 1,000).

**`max_execution_time`:** at least **300** (up to ~10,000 products; raise further if needed).

If the **Suhosin** extension is enabled (search “Suhosin” in phpinfo), also check:

- `suhosin.request.max_vars`
- `suhosin.post.max_vars`

These must be at least **10000** (higher for large category trees).

After the host increases them, PHP Info should show values such as:

- `memory_limit` → 256M (or more)
- `max_input_vars` → 10000 (or more)
- `max_execution_time` → 300 (or more)

PrestaShop recommendations:
https://www.prestashop.com/blog/en/php-ini-file/

Under **FastCGI**, some `php.ini` settings may be ignored — see [FastCGI CDiscount](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/fastcgi-cdiscount-sc1uve/).

If you cannot change these values yourself, ask your hosting provider to raise them.

> Do **not** put a `php.ini` or `.htaccess` inside the module folder — it will not work.
