# Missing field: "Product Type" please check your profile configuration - Amazon Marketplace Plus

This article explains **why this error appears when sending a product feed in Creation mode**, what it means, and how to resolve it.

## Error message

When sending a feed in **Creation mode**, the module may display the following error:

> **Missing field: "Product Type", please check your profile configuration**

## What does this mean?

This error indicates that the **Product Type is missing in the profile configuration** used to create the product on Amazon.

Amazon **requires a Product Type** to be defined in order to create a new product listing.  
If this field is not set, Amazon rejects the creation feed and the module displays this error.

## Is this a blocking error?

✅ **Yes, this is a blocking error.**

The product **cannot be created** until the Product Type is correctly configured in the profile.

## How to resolve the issue

### Step 1 – Open the profile configuration

1. Go to the Amazon Marketplace module.
2. Open the **profile** used for the affected product(s).

### Step 2 – Define the Product Type

In the profile configuration:

1. Locate the **Product Type** section.
2. Select the appropriate **Amazon Product Type** corresponding to your product category.
3. Save the profile configuration.

## Final step

After saving the profile:
1. Re-send the product feed in **Creation mode**
2. The error will no longer appear if the Product Type is correctly set
