## Knowledge Required

The module requires **no special technical skills**, but a basic understanding of how Amazon Marketplace works is useful.

Before starting, it's essential to understand the **difference between an offer and a product**—a common concept on all marketplaces.
See: [Differentiate well between an offer and a product](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/differentiating-between-an-offer-and-a-product-amazon-marketplace-plus-x2x13y/)

This guide explains how your product listings should be structured for marketplaces.
Once your catalog is compliant, you can export it to all supported marketplaces.

Most advanced features are intuitive after using the module a few times and gaining familiarity with the platform.

## Specific Terminology

**Sending offers (**[synchronization](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/sending-syncing-offers-amazon-marketplace-plus-1pz0psa/)**):**

This is the standard method used to update prices and stock.
No special skills are needed.
To understand how it works, simply read about [logging](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/understanding-the-logging-system-amazon-marketplace-plus-15fv9su/).

**Matching (automatic matching):**

Allows you to add your offer to an existing product on Amazon.
If your offer includes a valid EAN/UPC code, Amazon can automatically link it to an existing product in its catalog.
If a match is found, a new offer is added to your inventory without creating a new product.
This process is called [matching](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/matching-automatic-offer-creation-amazon-marketplace-plus-mtz42n/).

**Sending products (**[creation](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/creating-new-products-amazon-marketplace-plus-5evxbs/)**):**

Used to list products not yet available on Amazon (no ASIN code).
This mode is **optional**, and only needed if your products don’t already exist on Amazon.
It’s a more advanced process requiring familiarity with Amazon and your own catalog.
