# Glossary - Amazon Marketplace Plus

### Synchronization Field
Field used by Amazon to identify a product. Typically **EAN** for Europe and **UPC** for the United States.

### Invoice by Email
Sends the PDF invoice generated by PrestaShop to the buyer, according to Amazon’s recommendations. The email is transmitted via the so-called "encrypted" address.

### Code Exemption
Authorization granted by Amazon to sell without an EAN/UPC. This requires specific technical settings provided by Amazon support.

### FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon)
Refer to the official FBA documentation for more details.

### Queue
Each product update creates a log entry. These entries are queued for processing when the feed is sent.

### Filters
Filters applied by supplier, brand, or price range. Filtered products **will never be exported**, even if in stock.

### Latency / Handling Time
Time the seller takes to prepare the order before shipping. A latency of 2 means the product is shipped **within 2 business days**.

### Mapping
A technique that replaces one value with another.

### Mappings
A sequence of multiple mapping rules applied in order.

### Shipping Method
The shipping carrier used for the order, from Amazon’s perspective.

### Preorder
Allows exporting products **out of stock** with a future availability date (PrestaShop’s “Available date” field). The product will be shown as **preorder** on Amazon.

### Price Rule
Applies a **fixed value** or **percentage** to the product’s tax-included price to adjust it for Amazon.

### Relation
**Parent / Child** relationship between products. The parent is the main product; children are its variants. This relation defines the product hierarchy.

### SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
A universal term referring to the **seller’s product reference**.

### Category
Main classification in which the product is grouped.

### Variant
Equivalent of a **combination** in PrestaShop. An Amazon variant includes a **parent product** and **child products**, linked through a parent/child relation.
