# FastCGI CDiscount

Some hosts run under **FastCGI**, others under **mod_php**. For PrestaShop, the usual recommendation is **mod_php**.

Our modules are diagnosed against **mod_php** only — the PrestaShop standard.

If you were sent to this page, your hosting uses FastCGI. We **cannot support** FastCGI-specific issues (tools and expertise stop at our modules, not hosting setups and their limits).

Under FastCGI, some important `php.ini` settings may be ignored because FastCGI config takes precedence. Example: `FcgidBusyTimeout` (default **300**) overrides `max_execution_time`. That often interrupts long scripts and shows up as an **“ajax error”**.

Those PHP.ini tips date from 2013 — use the higher suggested values, or raise them as needed for your catalog size.
