# Configure a profile (Cdiscount)

As indicated in the [Preamble (CDiscount)](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/preamble-cdiscount-1pa5oba/), **profiles** apply export business rules (price, shipping, delay…) and correspondence to Cdiscount via an associated **model**.

You can also apply global rules such as changing the selling price for CDiscount.

To begin to familiarize yourself with the module, create a **single profile**, then associate it with your PrestaShop categories in the **Categories** tab.

You must complete all mandatory fields, those marked with a red star: *****

1) General Settings

**Associated model:**

The **Cdiscount category** is configured in the [model](https://doc.common-services.com/en/article/configure-a-model-cdiscount-1h6nbx0/), not in the profile. To select a model here, it must have been added and saved first.

**Note:** If the model does not exist yet, you can create it later, then return to the profile and select it.

2) Pricing Rules

You can apply a pricing rule on the items covered by this profile: by price range (price including tax on PrestaShop), increase or decrease the sales price sent to CDiscount, as a percentage or a fixed value.

3) Shipping charges

For items covered by this profile, you can increase your shipping charges: enter +2 to increase the calculated shipping charges by €2.

**Concerned items:**
The relevant products are those whose categories are selected in the **Categories** tab and for which you selected this profile.
