# After updating the module

After updating the module, complete these steps to avoid issues from unsaved settings or cache.

1. **Save the module configuration**

Go to **Modules → Cdiscount** and click **Save configuration**. This stores all settings, including any new options added by the update.

2. **Clear your browser cache**

Hard-refresh or clear the browser cache for the back-office domain so old module assets are not kept.

3. **Clear PrestaShop Smarty cache**

Go to **Advanced Parameters → Performance**, then click **Clear cache**:
